Work Based Learning (WBL)

Work Based Learning Coordinator: Mrs. Kerri Bradshaw - Email Mrs. Bradshaw

The Work Based Learning (WBL) Program provides students with the opportunity to develop or build upon employability skills such as character, punctuality, communication, productivity, responsibility, organization, positive attitude, time management, professional image, and team work as students complete internships with professionals in a career field of interest. By participating in the WBL Program, students develop an understanding of careers through hands on experiences in order to make important decisions before they graduate.  For example, students may confirm they love the career and want to continue pursuing it.  Students may also learn the career is not what they thought and choose a different path.  Each of these decisions are equally important with the high costs and the time it takes to pursue post-secondary degrees, certifications, and training.
